Coaching and Training Sessions

We meet several times a week for training and "fun" sessions. Qualified coaches and experienced players help to organise coaching and play throughout the sessions. Our two main centres are Gautby Road Play and Community Centre (69 Gautby Road, Bidston, CH41 7DS - near the Bidston Tennis Centre) and at New Ferry Village Hall (Longfellow Drive, New Ferry, CH62 5HN)   Junior practicing with Ball Machine
			at New Ferry

Both venues have access to a ball machine - feeding balls at any pace - and it seems to me any angle and spin combination; I'm sure that there's a level for you!

Gautby Road has access to 6 tables, while New Ferry seems to have an infinite number in an enormous hall - plus it has a "side room" for some matches and individual coaching.   Balls are provided and, for those new to the sport, bats (or blades) are available for free loan during the sessions.

So, there's no excuse, come and give it a go.   Look forward to seeing you sometime soon!

Home matches are played at either Gautby Road or at New Ferry on Monday nights.   Away matches will be played on the away team's "home" night. They usually start at 7:30pm with a short break for tea or coffee halfway through the evening.   Each team has 3 players and all players play each other at some stage of the night.   There is also a "fun", but competitive, doubles match - to add a bit of variety!
